macarons, italian method and pretty pleased with them indeed!
Two different fillings, the pink with strawberry jam and the purple with apple and blackberry jam, both with vanilla buttercream.
They were made to top a birthday cake - vanilla with strawberries...which alas I forgot to photograph :( but imagine it!

piratical treasure chest for captain pistachio's 30th celebrations!
chocolate cake (a theme of the cake orders lately!) with chocolate buttercream...decorated with chocolate buttons, strawberry laces, candy skulls, gummy snakes, chocolate coins and gummy rings! sugary treasure!
football pitch cake, complete with many fondant footballs and candy cigarette goal posts (though apparently they're just called candy sticks these days...).
chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream.
goal nets added later to save disasters in transport!

vanilla cake, filled with vanilla buttercream and covered with chocolate buttercream...and many, many sprinkles.
covering a cake with sprinkles is actually quite frustrating, but the end result is so fab, though the end result of 100's and 1000's all over the kitchen tops and floor is also quite fun! if you want to attempt this yourself, I do recommend doing the sprinkling over a large bowl to catch the majority of the sprinkles!
and inside the cake...
a late addition to the blog I know, catching up on my posting and just got to december! last years christmas cake, though it was so large it lasted well into this year! delicious boozy fruit cake, covered with a thin layer of marzipan and the fondant...decorated with fondant and royal icing, design inspired by a trip to fortnum's prior to christmas :)
a 40th birthday casino themed party, to be topped off with a roulette wheel cake! the cake was a zesty zingy cake, filled and covered with lemon buttercream. Then decorated with hand rolled fondant and royal icing. At 12" the cake was large enough to feed 60-70 people.
